paylinea exists to protect people from the financial consequences of bad timing. These terms help us do that safely and responsibly.

Welcome to paylinea. These terms govern your use of our app and services, provided by Mabintech LLC. By using paylinea, you agree to these terms.

1. What paylinea Does

paylinea is a personal finance app designed to help you never miss a payment and protect your credit. We help you:

• Connect and monitor your bank accounts securely
• Track bills and recurring payments automatically
• Know exactly what's safe to spend after bills are covered
• Receive smart reminders timed to when you get paid
• Get alerts if expected deposits don't arrive
• Understand your spending patterns and financial health

We use Plaid to securely connect to your financial accounts. By using paylinea, you authorize this connection and agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.

2. Your Account

To use paylinea, you need to:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be located in the United States (paylinea is currently only available in the US)
• Provide accurate information
• Keep your password secure
• Complete multi-factor authentication when prompted
• Let us know if someone accesses your account without permission

3. About the Information We Show

We work hard to give you accurate, helpful information, but please understand:

• Financial data comes from your banks via Plaid — it may occasionally be delayed or incomplete
• Income detection is pattern-based — we learn from your transaction history, but can't guarantee accuracy if your income is irregular
• Bill detection isn't perfect — you should review and confirm detected bills
• "Safe to Spend" is an estimate — based on your balance, detected bills, and spending patterns
• Reminders are helpful aids, not guarantees — ultimately, you're responsible for paying your bills

4. What We Ask of You

Please don't:

• Use paylinea for anything illegal
• Try to access other people's accounts
• Interfere with how the app works
• Share your account with others
• Copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app
• Use automated systems to access the service

5. Notifications and Reminders

You agree that we may send you:

• Bill reminders — timed to help you pay before due dates
• Payday alerts — letting you know when it's a good time to pay bills
• Missing deposit notifications — if expected income doesn't arrive
• Low balance warnings — if you might not have enough to cover upcoming bills
• Service updates — important information about your account

You can control notification preferences in the app settings.

6. Intellectual Property

paylinea, including its design, features, algorithms, and content, belongs to Mabintech LLC. Please don't copy or redistribute any part of it without permission.

7. Disclaimers

paylinea is provided "as is." We can't guarantee it will be:

• Perfect or error-free
• Always available
• Able to detect all bills or income patterns
• Able to prevent all missed payments

We're not responsible for financial decisions you make based on the app. While our goal is to help you never miss a payment, the responsibility for paying your bills remains yours.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Mabintech LLC isn't liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Late fees or credit damage from missed payments
• Inaccurate data from your financial institutions
• Losses from relying on our estimates or predictions

Our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is more.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mabintech LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Your use of paylinea
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any content or information you provide through the app

10. Closing Your Account

You can delete your account anytime through the app or by contacting us at support@paylinea.app. When you do:

• Your bank connections will be immediately revoked
• Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days
• You'll stop receiving all notifications

We may also close accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app. Continued use means you accept the new terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution First

Before initiating any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at support@paylinea.app and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any remaining disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except for intellectual property matters which may go to court. The arbitration will be conducted by a neutral arbitrator in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve any disputes with Mabintech LLC on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
